Treatment for Back Pain

Bad posture, heavy school bags, an old mattress, a weekend gardening, sudden movements and poor lifting techniques can all cause back pain. Back pain will often lead to difficulty sitting, walking, bending, sleeping and even driving. The pain can spread into your legs with associated numbness or tingling.

Some people will experience acute back pain and others will have suffered pain over many years. It is important for our Osteopaths to accurately assess your body to determine the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Our Osteopaths will devise a treatment program including postural, diet and exercise advice to manage your back pain. This may help to avoid acute pain from recurring. If necessary your Osteopath can send you for x-rays or refer you to your GP or a Sports Physician for further examination.
