Dr Ryan Challis

Osteopath

Registered Osteopath, B.App.Sc.(Comp.Med) M.Ost

Ryan has been involved in a wide variety of sports over the years including AFL, cricket, netball and taekwondo. With this came a few injuries of his own, resulting in multiple visits to the local Osteopath. This was ultimately what stemmed his passion for Osteopathy and created a great intrigue as to how he could best help people understand their body and get back to what they love doing.

Ryan enjoys treating a wide range of conditions in people of all ages. He particularly likes helping those with workplace postural concerns, shoulder, neck and lower back pain. With a long history of sporting involvement, he has gained invaluable experience in helping patients with recovery from and prevention of injuries in both football and netball in particular. Ryan focuses on tailoring each treatment to the individual, using a range of hands on structural techniques such as joint mobilisation and deep soft tissue work. Ryan is also trained in therapeutic dry needling and shockwave treatment and uses these where indicated.

Outside work if Ryan’s beloved Western Bulldogs (AFL) team aren’t playing on television he is usually keeping active. He enjoys weight training, golf, bike riding and playing with his nieces and nephews.
