Dr Sarah Clough

Osteopath

Registered Osteopath, B.App.Sc.(Comp.Med) M.Ost

Sarah’s interest with the body and Osteopathy began in high school when she had a serious knee injury requiring surgery. Consequently Sarah spent many hours with physiotherapists and orthopaedic specialists which sparked an interest in anatomy and how the body responds to injury.  After year 12, Sarah began her undergraduate studies in Science and later transferred to a more fulfilling degree in Osteopathy at RMIT.

After graduating as an osteopath in 2015, Sarah accepted a full time position in Ocean Grove and lived by the beach for a year before moving back to Melbourne and landing her dream job at Osteopathic Works. Sarah absolutely loves coming to work every day, knowing she can make a difference in people’s lives by giving them freedom to move. Whether it enhances someone’s sporting achievements, gives them the ability to play with their grandchildren, or simply by getting them more comfortable sitting at work.

Sarah loves to help people from all walks of life but her passion lies in assisting patients suffering with acute and chronic neck pain and headaches. She especially enjoys helping pregnant women through each stage of their pregnancy for relief or prevention of pain. Sarah’s further qualifications in clinical pilates ensures a holistic approach for her patients.

Sarah admits to being competitive by nature, growing up with two brothers and having a strong background in netball, basketball and football. She obviously loves a challenge and has recently completed a half marathon in Melbourne which was just as much of a mental challenge as it was physical. Regular treatments definitely helped her through that one! Sarah is a big advocate of dry needling and has completed post graduate training.

When she’s not at work, Sarah likes to do pilates, go for a run and spend time with her very spoilt dog Isabelle. She’s often found watching the footy, or finding ‘DIY’ projects around her home (then calling a professional to come and fix what she has done!)
