Myotherapist/Remedial Massage Therapist, MHumNutr, ADip Remedial Massage (Myotherapy), DipHSc (Massage)

Sarah has been interested in health and wellbeing since childhood. Although she originally planned to become a primary physical education teacher, she decided to study a Bachelor in Human Movement. From here Sarah’s passion for both nutrition and massage began.

On completion of her Bachelor studies over 20 years ago, Sarah decided to pursue her interest in massage. She completed Relaxation Massage at the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy which progressed to an Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage (Myotherapy).

After working with many clients suffering from pain, Sarah decided to further her education in pain management. Sarah is a fully qualified nutritionist since graduating with her Masters in Human Nutrition, Deakin University. For Sarah this has opened a new way of looking at the how the body functions, especially when considering mindset around pain management. She has achieved some of her best results with clients who have persistent pain from a variety of causes such as injuries, postural problems and chronic health issues. She can help you to recognise causes, implement changes and improve your quality of life.

Sarah loves helping her clients through Myotherapy. She assesses movement and has a thorough understanding of the impact particular activities can have on our bodies. Her goal is to help improve the way you feel and function, ultimately reducing pain. Sarah uses a variety of techniques such as cupping which is great for tension and dry needling which can help pain significantly. Essential oils are a wonderful adjunct Sarah uses with her clients, as another layer of treatment to help with pain, inflammation and muscle health.

When assisting clients with nutrition, Sarah helps to identify how certain foods can reduce pain, impact function, energy levels and emotions. Sarah believes nutrition is so much or than weight loss.

Sarah really enjoys going for walks with her husband, reading personal development books and completing courses that expand her views on how things work, particularly those around mindset.
